  आ तू न॑ इन्द्र क्षु॒मन्त᳚-ञ्चि॒त्र-ङ्ग्रा॒भं स-ङ्गृ॑भाय ।म॒हा॒ह॒स्ती दक्षि॑णेन ॥ 1 ॥

  ā tū na̍ indra kṣu̠manta̎-ñchi̠tra-ṅgrā̠bhaṃ sa-ṅgṛ̍bhāya ।ma̠hā̠ha̠stī dakṣi̍ṇēna ॥ 1 ॥

  meaning

  O Indra, come to us—seize for us the famous, multiform booty; O great-handed one, with your right hand.

• verse 2

  वि॒द्मा हि त्वा᳚ तुविकू॒र्मिन्तु॒विदे᳚ष्ण-न्तु॒वीम॑घम् ।तु॒वि॒मा॒त्रमवो᳚भिः ॥ 2 ॥

  meaning

  We know you as the great doer, great giver, great wealthy one—the greatest of the great, with your help.

  न॒ हि त्वा᳚ शूर दे॒वा न मर्ता᳚सो॒ दित्स᳚न्तम् ।भी॒म-न्न गां-वाँ॒रय᳚न्ते ॥ 3 ॥

  O hero, neither gods nor mortals can stop you when you wish to give; no one restrains you like a barrier.

  एतो॒न्विन्द्रं॒ स्तवा॒मेशा᳚नं॒-वँस्वः॑ स्व॒राजम्᳚ ।न राध॑सा मर्धिषन्नः ॥ 4 ॥

  Come therefore, let us praise Indra, the lord, the self-ruler of wealth; may he not fail us in giving riches.

  प्र स्तो᳚ष॒दुप॑ गासिष॒च्छ्रव॒त्साम॑ गी॒यमा᳚नम् ।अ॒भिराध॑साजुगुरत् ॥ 5 ॥

  May the praise go up and come near; may the song be heard; may he approach the desired wealth with readiness.

  आ नो᳚ भर॒ दक्षि॑णेना॒भि स॒व्येन॒ प्र मृ॑श ।इन्द्र॒ मानो॒ वसो॒र्निर्भा᳚क् ॥ 6 ॥

  O Indra, bring to us on the right and the left; do not cut us off from wealth.

  उप॑क्रम॒स्वा भ॑र धृष॒ता धृ॑ष्णो॒ जना᳚नाम् ।अदा᳚शूष्टरस्य॒ वेदः॑ ॥ 7 ॥

  इन्द्र॒ य उ॒ नु ते॒ अस्ति॒ वाजो॒ विप्रे᳚भि॒-स्सनि॑त्वः ।अ॒स्माभि॒-स्सुतं स॑नुहि ॥ 8 ॥

  स॒द्यो॒जुव॑स्ते॒ वाजा᳚ अ॒स्मभ्यं᳚-विँ॒श्वश्च᳚न्द्राः ।वशै᳚श्च म॒क्षू ज॑रन्ते ॥ 9 ॥

  Your swift prizes, all shining, come quickly serving us, O Indra.

  ग॒णाना᳚-न्त्वा ग॒णप॑तिं हवामहेक॒वि-ङ्क॑वी॒नामु॑प॒मश्र॑वस्तमम् ।ज्ये॒ष्ठ॒राज॒-म्ब्रह्म॑णा-म्ब्रह्मणस्पत॒आ नः॑ शृ॒ण्वन्नू॒तिभि॑स्सीद॒ साद॑नम् ॥ 10 ॥

  ga̠ṇānā̎-ntvā ga̠ṇapa̍tiṃ havāmahēka̠vi-ṅka̍vī̠nāmu̍pa̠maśra̍vastamam ।jyē̠ṣṭha̠rāja̠-mbrahma̍ṇā-mbrahmaṇaspata̠ā na̍-śśṛ̠ṇvannū̠tibhi̍ssīda̠ sāda̍nam ॥ 10 ॥

  meaning

  We invoke you, O Ganapati, lord of the hosts, the seer of seers, most greatly famed, the eldest king of prayers, the lord of prayer—hear us as you come with your safeguards; sit in this seat.

  नि षु सी᳚द गणपते ग॒णेषु॒ त्वामा᳚हु॒र्विप्र॑तम-ङ्कवी॒नाम् ।न ऋ॒ते त्वत्क्रि॑यते॒ कि-ञ्च॒नारे म॒हाम॒र्क-म्म॑घवञ्चि॒त्रम॑र्च ॥ 11 ॥

  ni ṣu sī̎da gaṇapatē ga̠ṇēṣu̠ tvāmā̎hu̠rvipra̍tama-ṅkavī̠nām ।na ṛ̠tē tvatkri̍yatē̠ ki-ñcha̠nārē ma̠hāma̠rka-mma̍ghavañchi̠trama̍rcha ॥ 11 ॥

  meaning

  O Ganapati, sit among the hosts; you are declared the wisest seer; nothing here is done without you—O great, wondrous Maghavan, worship the great arka.

  अ॒भि॒ख्यानो᳚ मघव॒न्नाध॑माना॒न्त्सखे᳚ बो॒धि व॑सुपते॒ सखी᳚नाम् ।रणं᳚ कृधि रणकृत्सत्यशु॒ष्माभ॑क्ते चि॒दा भ॑जा रा॒ये अ॒स्मान् ॥ 12 ॥

  a̠bhi̠khyānō̎ maghava̠nnādha̍mānā̠ntsakhē̎ bō̠dhi va̍supatē̠ sakhī̎nām ।raṇaṃ̎ kṛdhi raṇakṛtsatyaśu̠ṣmābha̍ktē chi̠dā bha̍jā rā̠yē a̠smān ॥ 12 ॥

  O Maghavan, lord of wealth, friend of friends—recognize us who seek; create a battle, O battle-maker of the true; though one does not share, make us share in riches.
