    We bow to Ganesha, of the form of Brahma through the rajas quality, knower of the scriptures, ever active, of a form impossible to conceive in the heart, cause of the universe, repository of all knowledge, of the form of the supreme Brahman.

    We salute Ganesha always of the form of Vishnu through the sattva quality, playing joyfully, removing the enemies of the gods, protecting the universe, of many avatars, bearing the garland of his own knowledge, of the form of the supreme Brahman.

    tamōyōginaṃ rudrarūpaṃ trinētraṃjagaddhārakaṃ tārakaṃ jñānahētumanēkāgamaiḥ svaṃ janaṃ bōdhayantaṃsadā śarvarūpaṃ gaṇēśaṃ namāmaḥ6

    We salute Ganesha always of the form of Shiva through the tamas quality, three-eyed, bearing the universe, carrying across, the cause of knowledge, illumining his own people through many Agamas, of the form of the supreme Brahman.

    We salute Ganesha who removes the mass of darkness, who removes the ignorance of people, who is the essence of the three Vedas, who reaches beyond the supreme Brahman, who is the cause of the sages' knowledge, who is free from modification far away, of the form of Brahman.

    We salute Ganesha who satisfies with his own herbs with his raised hands, who bears the moon-digit streams of nectar, who removes the distress of the sun's heat, who is the lord of twice-born, of the form of the moon.

    We wandered astray in all ways through the union of ignorance; for many years we did not attain your feet; now by your very grace we have attained them — always protect us who have taken refuge, O ancient Vishvambhara.

    Ganesha speaks: The wise one who recites this at dawn having risen, always devoted and pure three times daily — he obtains sons, wealth, and all desires, and becomes of the form of the supreme Brahman at the time of death. [Phala-shruti]
