- verse 1ब्रह्मोवाचशृणु वत्स प्रवक्ष्यामि आद्यास्तोत्रं महाफलम् ।यः पठेत् सततं भक्त्या स एव विष्णुवल्लभः ॥ 1 ॥brahmōvāchaśṛṇu vatsa pravakṣyāmi ādyāstōtraṃ mahāphalam ।yaḥ paṭhēt satataṃ bhaktyā sa ēva viṣṇuvallabhaḥ ॥ 1 ॥meaning
Brahma said: O son, listen — I will declare the Adya-stotra of great merit; he who recites it constantly with devotion is indeed Vishnu's equal.
- verse 2मृत्युर्व्याधिभयं तस्य नास्ति किञ्चित् कलौ युगे ।अपुत्रा लभते पुत्रं त्रिपक्षं श्रवणं यदि ॥ 2 ॥mṛtyurvyādhibhayaṃ tasya nāsti kiñchit kalau yugē ।aputrā labhatē putraṃ tripakṣaṃ śravaṇaṃ yadi ॥ 2 ॥meaning
In the Kali age he has no fear of death, disease, or misfortune; the sonless obtains a son if it is heard for three fortnights.

Heard from the mouth of a brahmin for two months, a release from bondage; the woman whose children die gains a living child if heard for six months.

By reciting it in a boat, in danger, or in battle, one attains victory; if written and placed in the home, there is no fear of fire or thieves.
