O Goddess, even a fraction of your grace enables Brahma to create worlds, Vishnu to sustain them, Shiva to dissolve them, Indra to rule the heavens, and Kubera to possess all wealth.

From you, O Goddess, the Vedas draw their power — Brahma creates, Hari protects, Shiva destroys, and even the sun, moon, and fire perform their cosmic roles only by your will.
- verse 4तनीयांसं पांसुं तव चरणपङ्केरुहभवंविरिञ्चिस्सञ्चिन्वन् विरचयति लोकानविकलम् ।वहत्येनं शौरिः कथमपि सहस्रेण शिरसांहरस्सङ्क्षुद्यैनं भजति भसितोद्धूलनविधिम् ॥ 2 ॥tanīyāṃsaṃ pāṃsuṃ tava charaṇapaṅkēruhabhavaṃviriñchissañchinvan virachayati lōkānavikalam ।vahatyēnaṃ śauriḥ kathamapi sahasrēṇa śirasāṃharassaṅkṣudyainaṃ bhajati bhasitōddhūlanavidhim ॥ 2 ॥meaning
Your feet, worshipped by Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva, destroy all sins — O Goddess Shiva, what wonder is there that the three worlds bow before you?
- verse 5अविद्यानामन्त-स्तिमिर-मिहिरद्वीपनगरीजडानां चैतन्य-स्तबक-मकरन्द-स्रुतिझरी ।दरिद्राणां चिन्तामणिगुणनिका जन्मजलधौनिमग्नानां दंष्ट्रा मुररिपु-वराहस्य भवति ॥ 3 ॥avidyānāmanta-stimira-mihiradvīpanagarījaḍānāṃ chaitanya-stabaka-makaranda-srutijharī ।daridrāṇāṃ chintāmaṇiguṇanikā janmajaladhaunimagnānāṃ daṃṣṭrā muraripu-varāhasya bhavati ॥ 3 ॥meaning
Your body of pure consciousness shines beyond all darkness; the supreme Lord Shiva himself becomes fully empowered only when united with you, O Mother of the universe.

O Goddess, the dust of your lotus feet is adored by Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva; even Indra places it upon his crown — what austerity did I perform to deserve your grace?
- verse 7हरिस्त्वामाराध्य प्रणतजनसौभाग्यजननींपुरा नारी भूत्वा पुररिपुमपि क्षोभमनयत् ।स्मरोऽपि त्वां नत्वा रतिनयनलेह्येन वपुषामुनीनामप्यन्तः प्रभवति हि मोहाय महताम् ॥ 5 ॥haristvāmārādhya praṇatajanasaubhāgyajananīṃpurā nārī bhūtvā puraripumapi kṣōbhamanayat ।smarō'pi tvāṃ natvā ratinayanalēhyēna vapuṣāmunīnāmapyantaḥ prabhavati hi mōhāya mahatām ॥ 5 ॥meaning
Taking refuge at your lotus feet, which are the source of liberation, even sinners like me cross the ocean of rebirth — for your mercy is the very boat of salvation.
- verse 8धनुः पौष्पं मौर्वी मधुकरमयी पञ्च विशिखाःवसन्तः सामन्तो मलयमरुदायोधनरथः ।तथाप्येकः सर्वं हिमगिरिसुते कामपि कृपाम्अपाङ्गात्ते लब्ध्वा जगदिद-मनङ्गो विजयते ॥ 6 ॥dhanuḥ pauṣpaṃ maurvī madhukaramayī pañcha viśikhāḥvasantaḥ sāmantō malayamarudāyōdhanarathaḥ ।tathāpyēkaḥ sarvaṃ himagirisutē kāmapi kṛpāmapāṅgāttē labdhvā jagadida-manaṅgō vijayatē ॥ 6 ॥meaning
The Vedas laud you as the shakti of Shiva; the Agamas declare you to be the supreme Reality; poets sing of you as the most beautiful — you are the eternal, self-luminous Mother.

Your feet illuminate the three worlds; the red lac on your toenails outshines the rising sun; the anklets on your feet resound like the swan-song of the Vedas.

Your lotus feet rest upon the lion throne placed on Shiva's chest; the jingling anklets on them dispel the darkness of ignorance in devotees' hearts.

Kamesvara, the Lord of desire, holds you on his left thigh — your feet, adorned with red lac, rest gently upon his knee, as a golden creeper entwines a sapphire pillar.
- verse 12सुधाधारासारैश्चरणयुगलान्तर्विगलितैःप्रपञ्चं सिञ्चन्ती पुनरपि रसाम्नायमहसः ।अवाप्य स्वां भूमिं भुजगनिभमध्युष्टवलयंस्वमात्मानं कृत्वा स्वपिषि कुलकुण्डे कुहरिणि ॥ 10 ॥sudhādhārāsāraiścharaṇayugalāntarvigalitaiḥprapañchaṃ siñchantī punarapi rasāmnāyamahasaḥ ।avāpya svāṃ bhūmiṃ bhujaganibhamadhyuṣṭavalayaṃsvamātmānaṃ kṛtvā svapiṣi kulakuṇḍē kuhariṇi ॥ 10 ॥meaning
O Goddess, your calf is like the trunk of the celestial elephant Airavata; your knee-joint is a jewel of beauty; your thigh surpasses the golden plantain trunk in its splendour.

Your hips bear the weight of your heavy, beautiful buttocks; the three folds on your abdomen are the very steps by which Brahma climbs to create; your navel is a whirlpool in the ocean of beauty.
- verse 14त्वदीयं सौन्दर्यं तुहिनगिरिकन्ये तुलयितुंकवीन्द्राः कल्पन्ते कथमपि विरिञ्चिप्रभृतयः ।यदालोकौत्सुक्यादमरललना यान्ति मनसातपोभिर्दुष्प्रापामपि गिरिशसायुज्यपदवीम् ॥ 12 ॥tvadīyaṃ saundaryaṃ tuhinagirikanyē tulayituṃkavīndrāḥ kalpantē kathamapi viriñchiprabhṛtayaḥ ।yadālōkautsukyādamaralalanā yānti manasātapōbhirduṣprāpāmapi giriśasāyujyapadavīm ॥ 12 ॥meaning
Your slender waist, like the altar of sacrifice, bears the weight of your full breasts; the three lines on your throat shine like three marks of the sacred syllable.
- verse 15नरं वर्षीयांसं नयनविरसं नर्मसु जडंतवापाङ्गालोके पतितमनुधावन्ति शतशः ।गलद्वेणीबन्धाः कुचकलशविस्रस्तसिचयाहठात् त्रुट्यत्काञ्च्यो विगलितदुकूला युवतयः ॥ 13 ॥naraṃ varṣīyāṃsaṃ nayanavirasaṃ narmasu jaḍaṃtavāpāṅgālōkē patitamanudhāvanti śataśaḥ ।galadvēṇībandhāḥ kuchakalaśavisrastasichayāhaṭhāt truṭyatkāñchyō vigalitadukūlā yuvatayaḥ ॥ 13 ॥meaning
Your breasts, heavy as the frontal lobes of the celestial elephant, bear the marks of Shiva's embrace; the red tilaka between them is like the rising sun between two golden peaks.
- verse 16क्षितौ षट्पञ्चाशद् द्विसमधिकपञ्चाशदुदकेहुताशे द्वाषष्टिश्चतुरधिकपञ्चाशदनिले ।दिवि द्विष्षट्त्रिंशन्मनसि च चतुष्षष्टिरिति येमयूखास्तेषामप्युपरि तव पादाम्बुजयुगम् ॥ 14 ॥kṣitau ṣaṭpañchāśad dvisamadhikapañchāśadudakēhutāśē dvāṣaṣṭiśchaturadhikapañchāśadanilē ।divi dviṣṣaṭtriṃśanmanasi cha chatuṣṣaṣṭiriti yēmayūkhāstēṣāmapyupari tava pādāmbujayugam ॥ 14 ॥meaning
Your neck bears four necklaces — the first of diamonds, the second of emeralds, the third of pearls, and the fourth, the divine thread of the Vedas.

O Goddess, your chin outshines the mango fruit; your lips are richer in colour than the bimba fruit; your smile scatters the darkness of ignorance like moonbeams scatter the night.
- verse 18कवीन्द्राणां चेतःकमलवनबालातपरुचिंभजन्ते ये सन्तः कतिचिदरुणामेव भवतीम् ।विरिञ्चिप्रेयस्यास्तरुणतरशऋङ्गारलहरी-गभीराभिर्वाग्भिर्विदधति सतां रञ्जनममी ॥ 16 ॥kavīndrāṇāṃ chētaḥkamalavanabālātaparuchiṃbhajantē yē santaḥ katichidaruṇāmēva bhavatīm ।viriñchiprēyasyāstaruṇataraśaṛṅgāralaharī-gabhīrābhirvāgbhirvidadhati satāṃ rañjanamamī ॥ 16 ॥meaning
O Mother, your nose is a delicate flower of the sesame plant; the pearl ornament on it outshines the evening star; your eyes are like the blue lotus and the red lotus combined.
- verse 19सवित्रीभिर्वाचां शशिमणिशिलाभङ्गरुचिभिःवशिन्याद्याभिस्त्वां सह जननि सञ्चिन्तयति यः ।स कर्ता काव्यानां भवति महतां भङ्गिरुचिभिःवचोभिर्वाग्देवीवदनकमलामोदमधुरैः ॥ 17 ॥savitrībhirvāchāṃ śaśimaṇiśilābhaṅgaruchibhiḥvaśinyādyābhistvāṃ saha janani sañchintayati yaḥ ।sa kartā kāvyānāṃ bhavati mahatāṃ bhaṅgiruchibhiḥvachōbhirvāgdēvīvadanakamalāmōdamadhuraiḥ ॥ 17 ॥meaning
Your ears, adorned with jewelled earrings, are glorified by the Vedas on one side and the Agamas on the other; they are like two fish swimming in the ocean of your face.

Your hair, black as the dark cloud or the bee, is adorned with flowers and fills the entire sky with fragrance; even Vishnu's dark body pales beside it.
- verse 21मुखं बिन्दुं कृत्वा कुचयुगमधस्तस्य तदधोहरार्धं ध्यायेद्यो हरमहिषि ते मन्मथकलाम् ।स सद्यः सङ्क्षोभं नयति वनिता इत्यतिलघुत्रिलोकीमप्याशु भ्रमयति रवीन्दुस्तनयुगाम् ॥ 19 ॥mukhaṃ binduṃ kṛtvā kuchayugamadhastasya tadadhōharārdhaṃ dhyāyēdyō haramahiṣi tē manmathakalām ।sa sadyaḥ saṅkṣōbhaṃ nayati vanitā ityatilaghutrilōkīmapyāśu bhramayati ravīndustanayugām ॥ 19 ॥meaning
O Goddess, your forehead is like the crescent moon — it illumines the three worlds; the red kumkuma mark shines on it like a bimba fruit placed upon a golden plate.
- verse 22किरन्तीमङ्गेभ्यः किरणनिकुरम्बामृतरसंहृदि त्वामाधत्ते हिमकरशिलामूर्तिमिव यः ।स सर्पाणां दर्पं शमयति शकुन्ताधिप इवज्वरप्लुष्टान् दृष्ट्या सुखयति सुधाधारसिरया ॥ 20 ॥kirantīmaṅgēbhyaḥ kiraṇanikurambāmṛtarasaṃhṛdi tvāmādhattē himakaraśilāmūrtimiva yaḥ ।sa sarpāṇāṃ darpaṃ śamayati śakuntādhipa ivajvarapluṣṭān dṛṣṭyā sukhayati sudhādhārasirayā ॥ 20 ॥meaning
Your bindi is the sun, dispelling the darkness of ignorance; your crescent-shaped forehead is the moon; your eyes are the fires of knowledge — thus your face illumines all three worlds.
- verse 23तटिल्लेखातन्वीं तपनशशिवैश्वानरमयींनिषण्णां षण्णामप्युपरि कमलानां तव कलाम् ।महापद्माटव्यां मृदितमलमायेन मनसामहान्तः पश्यन्तो दधति परमाह्लादलहरीम् ॥ 21 ॥taṭillēkhātanvīṃ tapanaśaśivaiśvānaramayīṃniṣaṇṇāṃ ṣaṇṇāmapyupari kamalānāṃ tava kalām ।mahāpadmāṭavyāṃ mṛditamalamāyēna manasāmahāntaḥ paśyantō dadhati paramāhlādalaharīm ॥ 21 ॥meaning
I meditate on your face — the crescent moon is your forehead, your eyes are lotuses, your nose is a sesame blossom, and your smile scatters the pearls of the Vedic syllables.
- verse 24भवानि त्वं दासे मयि वितर दृष्टिं सकरुणा-मिति स्तोतुं वाञ्छन् कथयति भवानि त्वमिति यः ।तदैव त्वं तस्मै दिशसि निजसायुज्यपदवींमुकुन्दब्रह्मेन्द्रस्फुटमकुटनीराजितपदाम् ॥ 22 ॥bhavāni tvaṃ dāsē mayi vitara dṛṣṭiṃ sakaruṇā-miti stōtuṃ vāñChan kathayati bhavāni tvamiti yaḥ ।tadaiva tvaṃ tasmai diśasi nijasāyujyapadavīṃmukundabrahmēndrasphuṭamakuṭanīrājitapadām ॥ 22 ॥meaning
O Goddess Tripura, your face outshines the full moon; Indra's thunderbolt was fashioned from the bones of Dadhichi, but your beauty needs no such weapon — it conquers all hearts by grace alone.

The smile that illumines your lotus face is like moonlight playing on the water of a lake; it enchants even the Lord of the gods, Kamesvara, who is the cause of all creation.
- verse 26जगत्सूते धाता हरिरवति रुद्रः क्षपयतेतिरस्कुर्वन्नेतत्स्वमपि वपुरीशस्तिरयति ।सदापूर्वः सर्वं तदिदमनुगृह्णाति च शिव-स्तवाज्ञामालम्ब्य क्षणचलितयोर्भ्रूलतिकयोः ॥ 24 ॥jagatsūtē dhātā hariravati rudraḥ kṣapayatētiraskurvannētatsvamapi vapurīśastirayati ।sadāpūrvaḥ sarvaṃ tadidamanugṛhṇāti cha śiva-stavājñāmālambya kṣaṇachalitayōrbhrūlatikayōḥ ॥ 24 ॥meaning
Your eyes, reddened at the corners, restless as a pair of fish, steal the heart of Shiva himself — even the god of love dares not challenge such beauty.
- verse 27त्रयाणां देवानां त्रिगुणजनितानां तव शिवेभवेत् पूजा पूजा तव चरणयोर्या विरचिता ।तथा हि त्वत्पादोद्वहनमणिपीठस्य निकटेस्थिता ह्येते शश्वन्मुकुलितकरोत्तंसमकुटाः ॥ 25 ॥trayāṇāṃ dēvānāṃ triguṇajanitānāṃ tava śivēbhavēt pūjā pūjā tava charaṇayōryā virachitā ।tathā hi tvatpādōdvahanamaṇipīṭhasya nikaṭēsthitā hyētē śaśvanmukulitakarōttaṃsamakuṭāḥ ॥ 25 ॥meaning
Drinking the beauty of your face, O Goddess, with the eyes of knowledge, the sage remains intoxicated — even the moon hides in shame before the radiance of your countenance.
- verse 28विरिञ्चिः पञ्चत्वं व्रजति हरिराप्नोति विरतिंविनाशं कीनाशो भजति धनदो याति निधनम् ।वितन्द्री माहेन्द्री विततिरपि सम्मीलितदृशामहासंहारेऽस्मिन् विहरति सति त्वत्पतिरसौ ॥ 26 ॥viriñchiḥ pañchatvaṃ vrajati harirāpnōti viratiṃvināśaṃ kīnāśō bhajati dhanadō yāti nidhanam ।vitandrī māhēndrī vitatirapi sammīlitadṛśāmahāsaṃhārē'smin viharati sati tvatpatirasau ॥ 26 ॥meaning
O Parameshvari, your brow is like the beautiful bow of Kamadeva; its gentle movement conquers all three worlds — and even the god of love bows before the arrow of your glance.
- verse 29जपो जल्पः शिल्पं सकलमपि मुद्राविरचनागतिः प्रादक्षिण्यक्रमणमशनाद्याहुतिविधिः ।प्रणामस्संवेशस्सुखमखिलमात्मार्पणदृशासपर्यापर्यायस्तव भवतु यन्मे विलसितम् ॥ 27 ॥japō jalpaḥ śilpaṃ sakalamapi mudrāvirachanāgatiḥ prādakṣiṇyakramaṇamaśanādyāhutividhiḥ ।praṇāmassaṃvēśassukhamakhilamātmārpaṇadṛśāsaparyāparyāyastava bhavatu yanmē vilasitam ॥ 27 ॥meaning
Your eyes, O Goddess, are like the red lotus and the blue lotus, yet when they are cast in grace upon your devotees they surpass all lotuses in their tender beauty.

O Goddess, a single glance of your compassionate eyes is more powerful than all the sacred rivers — it instantly purifies the devotee and destroys the accumulated sins of many births.

Your lips, red as the bimba fruit, are the source of the Vedas; the words that fall from them are the very seed-syllables of creation — O Goddess, your speech creates, sustains, and dissolves.

Your teeth, white as jasmine, outshine the pearls and the moonlight; when you smile, the three worlds are illumined by that radiance — even the Vedas chant in praise.

O Parameshvari, I meditate upon your lotus hands — the right pair holding sugarcane bow and five flower-arrows, the left pair holding the noose and the goad, O giver of all desires.

O Goddess, even the flowers that fall from your hands as you move are more powerful than the arrows of Kamadeva — a single glance from you can enslave all the worlds.

At your root support (muladhara), united with Samaya who is devoted to dance, I meditate upon you both as the nine-aspectual great one — Shiva performing the grand Tandava and you dancing Lasya — from these two, with compassion toward the purpose of creation, the universe was born as both father and mother.

O Goddess who dwells in the Meru mountain of the human body as the kundalini, you rise from the root chakra, piercing the six lotuses, and unite in bliss with Shiva at the crown.

O Goddess, your feet are the shore of the ocean of grace; whoever reaches them is freed from the cycle of birth and death — even Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva worship them.

Whoever worships your feet with the five upacharas of sandalpaste, flowers, incense, lamp, and food attains all the goals of life and ultimately merges in your being.

O Goddess, merely by meditating upon your feet, the mute becomes eloquent, the lame climbs mountains, the blind sees, and the deaf hears — such is the power of your grace.

O Goddess, the great poets receive their inspiration by touching your feet; the sacred streams of eloquence, metre, and meaning all originate from the dust beneath your toes.

Those who worship your feet attain all the eight supernatural powers and the four goals of life; freed from rebirth, they shine eternally in the world of Brahman.

O Mother, the mere contemplation of your sacred feet burns away the accumulated karma of countless lives, as a great fire reduces a heap of cotton to ash in an instant.

By worshipping your feet, the dull-witted gain wisdom, the cowardly become heroes, the sick recover health, and the poor acquire wealth — you are the wish-fulfilling gem.

- verse 90हिमानीहन्तव्यं हिमगिरिनिवासैकचतुरौनिशायां निद्राणं निशि चरमभागे च विशदौ ।वरं लक्ष्मीपात्रं श्रियमतिसृजन्तौ समयिनांसरोजं त्वत्पादौ जननि जयतश्चित्रमिह किम् ॥ 87 ॥himānīhantavyaṃ himagirinivāsaikachaturauniśāyāṃ nidrāṇaṃ niśi charamabhāgē cha viśadau ।varaṃ lakṣmīpātraṃ śriyamatisṛjantau samayināṃsarōjaṃ tvatpādau janani jayataśchitramiha kim ॥ 87 ॥meaning
I worship the Goddess who wears the crescent moon as her crest jewel, who bears the serpent as her ornament, and who illumines the lotus of the heart with the flame of consciousness.

O Goddess, the line of fine hair on your abdomen is the path of the kundalini; following it upward, the devoted yogi reaches the supreme abode of Shiva at the crown of the head.
- verse 92नखैर्नाकस्त्रीणां करकमलसङ्कोचशशिभि-स्तरूणां दिव्यानां हसत इव ते चण्डि चरणौ ।फलानि स्वःस्थेभ्यः किसलयकराग्रेण ददतांदरिद्रेभ्यो भद्रां श्रियमनिशमह्नाय ददतौ ॥ 89 ॥nakhairnākastrīṇāṃ karakamalasaṅkōchaśaśibhi-starūṇāṃ divyānāṃ hasata iva tē chaṇḍi charaṇau ।phalāni svaḥsthēbhyaḥ kisalayakarāgrēṇa dadatāṃdaridrēbhyō bhadrāṃ śriyamaniśamahnāya dadatau ॥ 89 ॥meaning
Your waist, slender as the altar of sacrifice, supports the weight of your heavy breasts; seeing this, even the god of creation marvels at the skill displayed in fashioning your form.

O Mother, you are attended by the eight Matrikas and the sixty-four yoginis; you are worshipped by the eight directional deities; the entire creation is your retinue.

O Goddess, when you are pleased with a devotee's worship, you grant him the boon that the creator cannot give, the sustainer cannot give, and the destroyer cannot give — you grant liberation itself.

The devotee who remembers your lotus feet at the time of death is instantly freed from all karma; he crosses the terrible darkness of rebirth as easily as a lamp illumines the night.

O Goddess, your kindness to your devotees exceeds even that of a mother to her child; for a mother may sometimes rebuke her child, but you never turn away the one who calls your name.

O Tripura Sundari, you are described in the Vedanta as pure consciousness, in the Agamas as the supreme goddess, and in the Puranas as the universal mother — yet in truth you transcend all descriptions.

Whoever meditates upon your form — the colour of the rising sun, seated in the Srichakra, adorned with all jewels — attains all the siddhis and ultimately liberation.
