- verse 1कंसोऽथ नारदगिरा व्रजवासिनं त्वा-माकर्ण्य दीर्णहृदयः स हि गान्दिनेयम् ।आहूय कार्मुकमखच्छलतो भवन्त-मानेतुमेनमहिनोदहिनाथशायिन् ॥1॥kaṃsō'tha nāradagirā vrajavāsinaṃ tvā-mākarṇya dīrṇahṛdayaḥ sa hi gāndinēyam ।āhūya kārmukamakhachChalatō bhavanta-mānētumēnamahinōdahināthaśāyin ॥1॥meaning
Kamsa, hearing from Narada that you live among the cowherds, was stricken in heart; he summoned the Gandini's son and, under the pretext of a bow-sacrifice, had you invited.

This Akrura has long been devoted to your feet; unable to bear his heart's yearning to see you, and fearing the king's command, he now rises eagerly to see you.

That blessed one, going by chariot to your abode, bearing clusters of longing toward you, tasting repeatedly the fear that something divine was happening, was consoled by fate.
- verse 4द्रक्ष्यामि वेदशतगीतगतिं पुमांसंस्प्रक्ष्यामि किंस्विदपि नाम परिष्वजेयम् ।किं वक्ष्यते स खलु मां क्वनु वीक्षितः स्या-दित्थं निनाय स भवन्मयमेव मार्गम् ॥4॥drakṣyāmi vēdaśatagītagatiṃ pumāṃsaṃsprakṣyāmi kiṃsvidapi nāma pariṣvajēyam ।kiṃ vakṣyatē sa khalu māṃ kvanu vīkṣitaḥ syā-ditthaṃ nināya sa bhavanmayamēva mārgam ॥4॥meaning
He thought: 'I will see the one the hundred Vedas sing of; I will somehow touch him; what will he say to me? Where will he look at me?'
- verse 5भूयः क्रमादभिविशन् भवदङ्घ्रिपूतंवृन्दावनं हरविरिञ्चसुराभिवन्द्यम् ।आनन्दमग्न इव लग्न इव प्रमोहेकिं किं दशान्तरमवाप न पङ्कजाक्ष ॥5॥bhūyaḥ kramādabhiviśan bhavadaṅghripūtaṃvṛndāvanaṃ haraviriñchasurābhivandyam ।ānandamagna iva lagna iva pramōhēkiṃ kiṃ daśāntaramavāpa na paṅkajākṣa ॥5॥meaning
Entering step by step Vrindavana sanctified by your feet, saluted by Hara and Brahma and the gods, he became as if submerged in joy and as if caught in a trance.
- verse 6पश्यन्नवन्दत भवद्विहृतिस्थलानिपांसुष्ववेष्टत भवच्चरणाङ्कितेषु ।किं ब्रूमहे बहुजना हि तदापि जाताएवं तु भक्तितरला विरलाः परात्मन् ॥6॥paśyannavandata bhavadvihṛtisthalānipāṃsuṣvavēṣṭata bhavachcharaṇāṅkitēṣu ।kiṃ brūmahē bahujanā hi tadāpi jātāēvaṃ tu bhaktitaralā viralāḥ parātman ॥6॥meaning
Seeing the places of your divine sports, he prostrated himself; he rolled in the dust marked by your footprints; what can we say? Even many others had thus been born.
- verse 7सायं स गोपभवनानि भवच्चरित्र-गीतामृतप्रसृतकर्णरसायनानि ।पश्यन् प्रमोदसरितेव किलोह्यमानोगच्छन् भवद्भवनसन्निधिमन्वयासीत् ॥7॥sāyaṃ sa gōpabhavanāni bhavachcharitra-gītāmṛtaprasṛtakarṇarasāyanāni ।paśyan pramōdasaritēva kilōhyamānōgachChan bhavadbhavanasannidhimanvayāsīt ॥7॥meaning
That evening, seeing the cowherds' homes, which were like a nectar-river of ears drinking the stories of your deeds set to song, he was carried along as on a river of joy.
- verse 8तावद्ददर्श पशुदोहविलोकलोलंभक्तोत्तमागतिमिव प्रतिपालयन्तम् ।भूमन् भवन्तमयमग्रजवन्तमन्त-र्ब्रह्मानुभूतिरससिन्धुमिवोद्वमन्तम् ॥8॥tāvaddadarśa paśudōhavilōkalōlaṃbhaktōttamāgatimiva pratipālayantam ।bhūman bhavantamayamagrajavantamanta-rbrahmānubhūtirasasindhumivōdvamantam ॥8॥meaning
Then he saw you—the best of devotees waiting, watching the cattle being milked—O all-pervading one, your elder brother beside you, experiencing the bliss of the Brahman within.

In the evening after bathing, the two of you, beautiful in yellow and blue garments, not over-adorned with a few ornaments, with slow smiles on your faces—a graceful sight.

Getting down from the chariot from afar, bowing to this one, raising him up—the crown-jewel of the devotee community—and embracing him with joy; with a few restrained words inquiring after his welfare, taking his hand.

Having worshipped that Yadava with Nanda's affection, hearing the message from him, communicating Kamsa's command to the cowherds, engaging in varied conversation.
