- verse 1यत्नेषु सर्वेष्वपि नावकेशी केशी स भोजेशितुरिष्टबन्धुः ।त्वां सिन्धुजावाप्य इतीव मत्वा सम्प्राप्तवान् सिन्धुजवाजिरूपः ॥1॥yatnēṣu sarvēṣvapi nāvakēśī kēśī sa bhōjēśituriṣṭabandhuḥ ।tvāṃ sindhujāvāpya itīva matvā samprāptavān sindhujavājirūpaḥ ॥1॥meaning
The demon Keshi, the beloved enemy of the lord of Bhoja (Kamsa), having exhausted all his efforts, as if thinking 'I shall obtain Lakshmi by obtaining you,' came roaring as a great horse.

You whose feet Garuda bears — this one, like Bhrigu who had kicked Vishnu's chest, tried to kick your chest with his hoof; but hearing the story of Bhrigu's kick, you also —

quickly deceiving the edge of his hoof, you hurled him far away; even as he fainted with extreme fury's heat —
- verse 5त्वं वाहदण्डे कृतधीश्च वाहादण्डं न्यधास्तस्य मुखे तदानीम् ।तद् वृद्धिरुद्धश्वसनो गतासुः सप्तीभवन्नप्ययमैक्यमागात् ॥5॥tvaṃ vāhadaṇḍē kṛtadhīścha vāhādaṇḍaṃ nyadhāstasya mukhē tadānīm ।tad vṛddhiruddhaśvasanō gatāsuḥ saptībhavannapyayamaikyamāgāt ॥5॥meaning
you thrust your arm, which had subdued the arm-rod into his mouth at that moment; choked by that swelling arm blocking his breath he died, becoming a corpse.

- verse 9स चोरपालायितवल्लवेषु चोरायितो गोपशिशून् पशूंश्चगुहासु कृत्वा पिदधे शिलाभिस्त्वया च बुद्ध्वा परिमर्दितोऽभूत् ॥9॥sa chōrapālāyitavallavēṣu chōrāyitō gōpaśiśūn paśūṃśchaguhāsu kṛtvā pidadhē śilābhistvayā cha buddhvā parimarditō'bhūt ॥9॥meaning
disguised as a thieving cowherd among the running cowherds, he disguised himself as a thief and seized the cowherd boys and cattle and hid them in caves behind boulders — but you, perceiving it, destroyed him.
