- verse 1आलोक्य शैलोद्धरणादिरूपं प्रभावमुच्चैस्तव गोपलोकाः ।विश्वेश्वरं त्वामभिमत्य विश्वे नन्दं भवज्जातकमन्वपृच्छन् ॥1॥ālōkya śailōddharaṇādirūpaṃ prabhāvamuchchaistava gōpalōkāḥ ।viśvēśvaraṃ tvāmabhimatya viśvē nandaṃ bhavajjātakamanvapṛchChan ॥1॥meaning
Seeing your mighty deeds such as the lifting of the mountain, the cowherd folk, judging you to be the lord of the universe, all asked Nanda about your birth-history.

What had been told by Garga was now told by your father to his clan; their already great love for you swelled, as did the weight of their reverence.

Then the king of the gods (Indra), made aware of the truth by his humiliation, came with the divine cow Surabhi, and pride-broken, praised you, touching your lotus feet with his jewel-crested head.

Surabhi consecrated you, marked with the name Govinda, with milk flowing from her affection; and Indra too, joyful, with divine Ganga waters brought by Airavata.
- verse 5जगत्त्रयेशे त्वयि गोकुलेशे तथाऽभिषिक्ते सति गोपवाटः ।नाकेऽपि वैकुण्ठपदेऽप्यलभ्यां श्रियं प्रपेदे भवतः प्रभावात् ॥5॥jagattrayēśē tvayi gōkulēśē tathā'bhiṣiktē sati gōpavāṭaḥ ।nākē'pi vaikuṇṭhapadē'pyalabhyāṃ śriyaṃ prapēdē bhavataḥ prabhāvāt ॥5॥meaning
When you, lord of the three worlds and lord of Gokul, had thus been consecrated, the cowherd hamlet attained, by your power, a glory not to be had even in heaven or Vaikuntha.

Once at dawn while bathing in the Yamuna your father was carried off by a man of Varuna; you went, in human form, to that city of Varuna to bring him back.
- verse 7ससम्भ्रमं तेन जलाधिपेन प्रपूजितस्त्वं प्रतिगृह्य तातम् ।उपागतस्तत्क्षणमात्मगेहं पिताऽवदत्तच्चरितं निजेभ्यः ॥7॥sasambhramaṃ tēna jalādhipēna prapūjitastvaṃ pratigṛhya tātam ।upāgatastatkṣaṇamātmagēhaṃ pitā'vadattachcharitaṃ nijēbhyaḥ ॥7॥meaning
Honoured with awe by the lord of the waters, taking your father back you returned at that very moment to your house; your father told the people of his experience.
- verse 8हरिं विनिश्चित्य भवन्तमेतान् भवत्पदालोकनबद्धतृष्णान् ॥निरीक्ष्य विष्णो परमं पदं तद्दुरापमन्यैस्त्वमदीदृशस्तान् ॥8॥hariṃ viniśchitya bhavantamētān bhavatpadālōkanabaddhatṛṣṇān ॥nirīkṣya viṣṇō paramaṃ padaṃ taddurāpamanyaistvamadīdṛśastān ॥8॥meaning
Concluding you to be Hari, and seeing them bound by thirst to behold your feet, O Vishnu, you showed them the supreme abode unattainable by others.
- verse 9स्फुरत्परानन्दरसप्रवाहप्रपूर्णकैवल्यमहापयोधौ ।चिरं निमग्नाः खलु गोपसङ्घास्त्वयैव भूमन् पुनरुद्धृतास्ते ॥9॥sphuratparānandarasapravāhaprapūrṇakaivalyamahāpayōdhau ।chiraṃ nimagnāḥ khalu gōpasaṅghāstvayaiva bhūman punaruddhṛtāstē ॥9॥meaning
The cowherd company long sunk in the great ocean of liberation overflowing with the surging stream of supreme bliss were lifted out again by you alone, O all-pervading one.
- verse 10करबदरवदेवं देव कुत्रावतारेनिजपदमनवाप्यं दर्शितं भक्तिभाजाम् ।तदिह पशुपरूपी त्वं हि साक्षात् परात्मापवनपुरनिवासिन् पाहि मामामयेभ्यः ॥10॥karabadaravadēvaṃ dēva kutrāvatārēnijapadamanavāpyaṃ darśitaṃ bhaktibhājām ।tadiha paśuparūpī tvaṃ hi sākṣāt parātmāpavanapuranivāsin pāhi māmāmayēbhyaḥ ॥10॥meaning
Where else, O God, in any other avatar has your own abode been shown to devotees as easily as a berry in the palm? You, in cowherd form, are indeed the supreme Self in person — O dweller of Guruvayur, save me from my ailments.
