    ततश्च वृन्दावनतोऽतिदूरतोवनं गतस्त्वं खलु गोपगोकुलैःहृदन्तरे भक्ततरद्विजाङ्गना-कदम्बकानुग्रहणाग्रहं वहन्1

    When those boys went and stated your name while begging for rice, O Lord, even those Brahmins fixed in the scriptures acted contrary to the scriptures and said nothing — those foremost among Brahmins.

    The boys, disappointed by the disrespect, returned — for that was fitting among those sacrificers; those Brahmins had long been without devotion to you; how could what is dear to you be offered by them?

    They, frantic with excitement at hearing your name, took the four kinds of tasty food, and though restrained by their husbands, came quickly, bearing the long-held eager desire to behold you.
