- verse 1रामसखः क्वापि दिने कामद भगवन् गतो भवान् विपिनम् ।सूनुभिरपि गोपानां धेनुभिरभिसंवृतो लसद्वेषः ॥1॥rāmasakhaḥ kvāpi dinē kāmada bhagavan gatō bhavān vipinam ।sūnubhirapi gōpānāṃ dhēnubhirabhisaṃvṛtō lasadvēṣaḥ ॥1॥meaning
On a certain day, O wish-granting Lord, accompanied by Rama (Balarama), surrounded by the cowherd boys and cows, you went to the forest in shining array.

Just then, the merciless demon Pralamba, eager for your destruction, came in the form of a long-armed cowherd to meet you of long arms.

Knowing him, yet acting as if you knew not, you struck up friendship with him; near the banyan you began wrestling among the smart cowherd boys.

Dividing the cowherds into two groups, one led by you and one by Balabhadra, you allowed the demon — who feared your strength — to be in Balarama's group, O Lord.

In the contest you arranged that the loser carry the winner; defeated, you carried Sridama, who belonged to the opposite team and was your dear friend, displaying the ways of a devotee-servant.

While many boys were thus carrying and being carried, O all-pervading one, Pralamba — defeated by Balarama — bore him far away out of fear of you.
- verse 8त्वद्दूरं गमयन्तं तं दृष्ट्वा हलिनि विहितगरिमभरे ।दैत्यः स्वरूपमागाद्यद्रूपात् स हि बलोऽपि चकितोऽभूत् ॥8॥tvaddūraṃ gamayantaṃ taṃ dṛṣṭvā halini vihitagarimabharē ।daityaḥ svarūpamāgādyadrūpāt sa hi balō'pi chakitō'bhūt ॥8॥meaning
Seeing him carry Balarama far off, the demon assumed his real form, the very weight of which made even Balarama startled.

Looking at your face from afar despite the demon's huge body, Balarama lost all fear and at once crushed that wicked one with a powerful fist.
- verse 10हत्वा दानववीरं प्राप्तं बलमालिलिङ्गिथ प्रेम्णा ।तावन्मिलतोर्युवयोः शिरसि कृता पुष्पवृष्टिरमरगणैः ॥10॥hatvā dānavavīraṃ prāptaṃ balamāliliṅgitha prēmṇā ।tāvanmilatōryuvayōḥ śirasi kṛtā puṣpavṛṣṭiramaragaṇaiḥ ॥10॥meaning
Having slain the demon-warrior, you embraced the returning Balarama with affection; then a shower of flowers fell upon both your heads from the host of celestials.
- verse 11आलम्बो भुवनानां प्रालम्बं निधनमेवमारचयन् ।कालं विहाय सद्यो लोलम्बरुचे हरे हरेः क्लेशान् ॥11॥ālambō bhuvanānāṃ prālambaṃ nidhanamēvamārachayan ।kālaṃ vihāya sadyō lōlambaruchē harē harēḥ klēśān ॥11॥meaning
Thus, O support of the worlds, fashioning Pralamba's destruction in this manner, without delay, O Hari of bee-dark beauty, dispel the afflictions of Hari (the devotee).
