    sāndrānandatanō harē nanu purā daivāsurē saṅgarētvatkṛttā api karmaśēṣavaśatō na yātā gatimtēṣāṃ bhūtalajanmanāṃ ditibhuvāṃ bhārēṇa dūrārditābhūmiḥ prāpa viriñchamāśritapadaṃ dēvaiḥ puraivāgataiḥ1
    meaning

    Harī, whose body is dense bliss—surely in the ancient war of gods and demons, those beings born on earth from Diti's womb, though created by you, remained bound by karma's remnant and did not reach your abode; thus the Earth, oppressed by their burden, sought refuge at Brahmā's feet and came before the gods.

    The Earth, overwhelmed and crying "Alas, alas, I am crushed by the heavy burden of wicked men—protect me, I pray, in the ocean's waters; hear my distress, O gods!"—thus pouring forth abundant laments, Brahma beheld her plight and, gazing upon the faces of the gods all around, contemplated Hari.

    They gathered at the shore of the ocean churned by the gentle wind and milk, and as long as their minds dwelt solely on your feet, that lotus-born one remained; hearing your words in his heart and thus delighting all beings, he was named by the Supreme Self himself—may that utterance be heard by me now.

    Knowing the plight of the lowly celestials and the earth-lord oppressed by fearsome kings, I have become present in the Yadava clan in my entirety to dispel their distress; thus the devas dwell in the Vrishni line with their divine consorts in the two worlds—all for your service, as you have spoken, O lotus-born one.
