- verse 1मध्योद्भवे भुव इलावृतनाम्नि वर्षेगौरीप्रधानवनिताजनमात्रभाजि ।शर्वेण मन्त्रनुतिभिः समुपास्यमानंसङ्कर्षणात्मकमधीश्वर संश्रये त्वाम् ॥1॥madhyōdbhavē bhuva ilāvṛtanāmni varṣēgaurīpradhānavanitājanamātrabhāji ।śarvēṇa mantranutibhiḥ samupāsyamānaṃsaṅkarṣaṇātmakamadhīśvara saṃśrayē tvām ॥1॥meaning

In the northern continent Ramyaka, worshipped by its lord Manu and all others, I worship you, O beloved of devotees, shining in hearts free of envy — you, O Lord of the worlds, who took the form of Matsya.

I worship you, the all-transcendent one of pure consciousness, who took the form of the Tortoise bearing the weight of the mountain, seated in the northern continent Hiranyamaya — served by Aryaman the chief of the ancestral fathers.

And in the northern Kuru continent, you are served by your dear wife Earth with manifold honored mantras and hymns; your body heavy as dark cloud, flanks scraped against the great mountain — O one lauded by the wise, O Yajnavaraha, protect me.
