- verse 1महेन्द्र उवाचनमः कमलवासिन्यै नारायण्यै नमो नमः ।कृष्णप्रियायै सारायै पद्मायै च नमो नमः ॥ 1 ॥mahēndra uvāchanamaḥ kamalavāsinyai nārāyaṇyai namō namaḥ ।kṛṣṇapriyāyai sārāyai padmāyai cha namō namaḥ ॥ 1 ॥meaning
Mahendra speaks: Salutation to Kamalavasi, to Narayani again and again; salutation to the beloved of Krishna, to Sara, and to Padma.

Salutation to she of lotus-petal eyes, to the lotus-faced; salutation to the lotus-seated, to Padmini, and to Vaishnavi.

Salutation to she who bestows devotion to Hari and who gives joy; salutation to she who dwells on the chest of Krishna, to the sovereign of Krishna.

Salutation to the presiding goddess of all crops, to Sasyalakshmi; salutation to the form of intelligence, to the bestower of intelligence.

In Vaikuntha she is Mahalakshmi; in the milk-ocean she is Lakshmi; in Indra's abode she is Svargalakshmi; in the king's palace she is Rajalakshmi.

For householders she is Grihalakshmi and the household goddess; she is Surabhi, the mother of cows; she is Dakshina, the lover of sacrifice.

You are Aditi, the mother of the gods; you are Kamala dwelling in the lotus; you are Svaha in the giving of oblations; you are Svadha at the giving of ancestral offerings.

You are truly of Vishnu's form, the all-support, the earth-bearer; you are of pure sattva, ever devoted to Narayana.

You are free from anger and violence, you are the boon-giver, of beautiful face; you are the bestower of the supreme end, and the supreme giver of devotion to Hari.

Without you the entire world is mere ash — insubstantial; the universe with its living beings is like the living dead, like a corpse, without you.

You are the supreme of all; you are the form of all kinship; without you no kinsman speaks to a kinsman.

Without you one is without kin; with you one has kin; you are the cause-form of dharma, artha, kama, and moksha.
- verse 15स्तनन्धयानां त्वं माता शिशूनां शैशवे यथा ।तथा त्वं सर्वदा माता सर्वेषां सर्वविश्वतः ॥ 15 ॥stanandhayānāṃ tvaṃ mātā śiśūnāṃ śaiśavē yathā ।tathā tvaṃ sarvadā mātā sarvēṣāṃ sarvaviśvataḥ ॥ 15 ॥meaning
As you are the nursing mother to suckling infants, so you are always the mother of all beings everywhere in all the universe.
- verse 16त्यक्तस्तनो मातृहीनः स चेज्जीवति दैवतः ।त्वया हीनो जनः कोऽपि न जीवत्येव निश्चितम् ॥ 16 ॥tyaktastanō mātṛhīnaḥ sa chējjīvati daivataḥ ।tvayā hīnō janaḥ kō'pi na jīvatyēva niśchitam ॥ 16 ॥meaning
If by providence a child whose mother has abandoned it survives — but one abandoned by you, O Haripriya, assuredly cannot live.
- verse 17सुप्रसन्नस्वरूपा त्वं मे प्रसन्ना भवाम्बिके ।वैरिग्रस्तं च विषयं देहि मह्यं सनातनि ॥ 17 ॥suprasannasvarūpā tvaṃ mē prasannā bhavāmbikē ।vairigrastaṃ cha viṣayaṃ dēhi mahyaṃ sanātani ॥ 17 ॥meaning
Be gracious to me now with your supremely pleased form, O Ambika; grant me the region seized by the enemy, O eternal one.
- verse 18वयं यावत्त्वया हीना बन्धुहीनाश्च भिक्षुकाः ।सर्वसम्पद्विहीनाश्च तावदेव हरिप्रिये ॥ 18 ॥vayaṃ yāvattvayā hīnā bandhuhīnāścha bhikṣukāḥ ।sarvasampadvihīnāścha tāvadēva haripriyē ॥ 18 ॥meaning
As long as we are without you, O Haripriya, we are without kin, beggars, destitute of all wealth.

Grant me a kingdom, grant me Shri, grant me strength, O Sureshvari; grant me fame, grant me wealth, grant me sons.
- verse 20कामं देहि मतिं देहि भोगान् देहि हरिप्रिये ।ज्ञानं देहि च धर्मं च सर्वसौभाग्यमीप्सितम् ॥ 20 ॥kāmaṃ dēhi matiṃ dēhi bhōgān dēhi haripriyē ।jñānaṃ dēhi cha dharmaṃ cha sarvasaubhāgyamīpsitam ॥ 20 ॥meaning
Grant me desire, grant me wisdom, grant me enjoyments, O Haripriya; grant me knowledge, grant me dharma, and all the good fortune I seek.
- verse 21सर्वाधिकारमेवं वै प्रभावां च प्रतापकम् ।जयं पराक्रमं युद्धे परमैश्वर्यमैव च ॥ 21 ॥sarvādhikāramēvaṃ vai prabhāvāṃ cha pratāpakam ।jayaṃ parākramaṃ yuddhē paramaiśvaryamaiva cha ॥ 21 ॥meaning
All authority and influence, power, and might; victory and valor in battle, and supreme sovereignty.

Having thus spoken, the great Indra along with all the hosts of gods bowed his head again and again with tearful eyes.
- verse 23ब्रह्मा च शङ्करश्चैव शेषो धर्मश्च केशवः ।सर्वे चक्रुः परीहारं सुरार्थे च पुनः पुनः ॥ 23 ॥brahmā cha śaṅkaraśchaiva śēṣō dharmaścha kēśavaḥ ।sarvē chakruḥ parīhāraṃ surārthē cha punaḥ punaḥ ॥ 23 ॥meaning
Brahma, Shankara, Shesha, Dharma, and Keshava — all made obeisance repeatedly for the welfare of the gods.

Lakshmi, satisfied in the assembly of the gods, bestowed a boon on the gods and gave a beautiful garland of flowers to Keshava.
- verse 25ययुर्दैवाश्च सन्तुष्टाः स्वं स्वं स्थानं च नारद ।देवी ययौ हरेः क्रोडं हृष्टा क्षीरोदशायिनः ॥ 25 ॥yayurdaivāścha santuṣṭāḥ svaṃ svaṃ sthānaṃ cha nārada ।dēvī yayau harēḥ krōḍaṃ hṛṣṭā kṣīrōdaśāyinaḥ ॥ 25 ॥meaning
The gods, satisfied, departed each to their own realms, O Narada; the Goddess also returned to the bosom of Hari who lies on the milk ocean.

Brahma and Shiva also returned to their respective abodes, O Narada, having given their auspicious blessings to the gods with affection.
- verse 27इदं स्तोत्रं महापुण्यं त्रिसन्ध्यं यः पठेन्नरः ।कुबेरतुल्यः स भवेद्राजराजेश्वरो महान् ॥ 27 ॥idaṃ stōtraṃ mahāpuṇyaṃ trisandhyaṃ yaḥ paṭhēnnaraḥ ।kubēratulyaḥ sa bhavēdrājarājēśvarō mahān ॥ 27 ॥meaning
One who recites this most sacred hymn three times daily — he becomes equal to Kubera and becomes a great king of kings. [Phala-shruti]
- verse 28सिद्धस्तोत्रं यदि पठेत् सोऽपि कल्पतरुर्नरः ।पञ्चलक्षजपेनैव स्तोत्रसिद्धिर्भवेन्नृणाम् ॥ 28 ॥siddhastōtraṃ yadi paṭhēt sō'pi kalpatarurnaraḥ ।pañchalakṣajapēnaiva stōtrasiddhirbhavēnnṛṇām ॥ 28 ॥meaning
If one recites this perfected hymn he becomes a wish-fulfilling tree for mankind; perfection of the hymn is attained for men by five-lakh repetitions. [Phala-shruti]
- verse 29सिद्धस्तोत्रं यदि पठेन्मासमेकं च संयतः ।महासुखी च राजेन्द्रो भविष्यति न संशयः ॥ 29 ॥siddhastōtraṃ yadi paṭhēnmāsamēkaṃ cha saṃyataḥ ।mahāsukhī cha rājēndrō bhaviṣyati na saṃśayaḥ ॥ 29 ॥meaning
If one with self-control recites this perfected hymn for a single month, he will undoubtedly become supremely happy and a king of kings. [Phala-shruti]
