    Whoever knows the pair among the prayajas is born with multiplied offspring and cattle; fuel sticks are many and the Tanunapat one — that is one pair; the Ida many and the barhis one — that is the other.

    He is born with offspring and cattle in pairs; the gods and demons contended for these worlds; the gods arranged the Gayatri to protect the sacrifice and with the Svahakara in the prayajas established it firmly.

    With the Svahakara in the prayajas they established the sacrifice; one who knows this and recites the prayajas drives rivals away from all these worlds.

    One offers before drawing out — thus the gods overcame the demons by worshipping with the sun; so one who sacrifices in the day overcomes opponents.

    Offering in the morning secures the morning; at midday secures midday; in the afternoon secures the three oblations and the three sacrifices.
