    श्रुतीनामुत्तरं भागं वेगवत्याश्च दक्षिणम्कामादधिवसन् जीयात् कश्चिदद्भुत केसरी1

    śrutīnāmuttaraṃ bhāgaṃ vēgavatyāścha dakṣiṇamkāmādadhivasan jīyāt kaśchidadbhuta kēsarī1
    meaning

    May that wondrous lion-form (kesari) prevail — the Lord who resides in Kamasika, situated to the north of the Shrutis (Vedic shrines) and south of the Vegavati river.

    तपनेन्द्वग्निनयनः तापानपचिनोतु नःतापनीयरहस्यानां सारः कामासिका हरिः2

    tapanēndvagninayanaḥ tāpānapachinōtu naḥtāpanīyarahasyānāṃ sāraḥ kāmāsikā hariḥ2
    meaning

    May the Hari of Kamasika — whose three eyes are the sun, moon and fire — remove our afflictions. He is the very essence of the secrets of the Tapaniya Upanishad.

    I worship the primordial Purusha (Adi-purusha) who bears the lion-form (Kanthi-rava), who has suppressed all enemies, who is highly revered even in Vaikunta, and who is associated with the banks of the Vega river.

    I praise Narasimha who is the friend of all creatures, who is beautiful in the lion's couch posture (paryanka-bandha), who has an asymmetric gaze (three eyes), and who sports on the sands of the Vegavati river.

    svasthānēṣu marudgaṇān niyamayan svādhīnasarvēndriyaḥparyaṅkasthiradhāraṇā prakaṭitapratyaṅmukhāvasthitiḥprāyēṇa praṇipēduṣaḥ prabhurasau yōgaṃ nijaṃ śikṣayankāmānātanutādaśēṣajagatāṃ kāmāsikā kēsarī5
    meaning

    He who controls the vital forces (maruts) in their proper seats, master of all his senses, established in the firm posture (paryanka-dharana), facing inward, teaching yoga to those who bow before him — may that Narasimha of Kamasika grant the desires of all the worlds.

    विकस्वरनखस्वरुक्षतहिरण्यवक्षःस्थली--निरर्गलविनिर्गलद्रुधिरसिन्धुसन्ध्यायिताःअवन्तु मदनासिकामनुजपञ्चवक्त्रस्य मांअहम्प्रथमिकामिथः प्रकटिताहवा बाहवः6

    vikasvaranakhasvarukṣatahiraṇyavakṣaḥsthalī--nirargalavinirgaladrudhirasindhusandhyāyitāḥavantu madanāsikāmanujapañchavaktrasya māṃahamprathamikāmithaḥ prakaṭitāhavā bāhavaḥ6
    meaning

    His blazing nails tore open the chest of Hiranyakashipu, from which streams of blood flowed like rivers at dusk — may those five arms of Narasimha of Kamasika, which are raised in mutual contest of glory, protect me.

    सटापटलभीषणे सरभसाट्टहासोद्भटेस्फुरत् क्रुधिपरिस्फुट भ्रुकुटिकेऽपि वक्त्रे कृतेकृपाकपटकेसरिन् दनुजडिम्भदत्तस्तनासरोजसदृशा दृशा व्यतिविषज्य ते व्यज्यते7

    saṭāpaṭalabhīṣaṇē sarabhasāṭṭahāsōdbhaṭēsphurat krudhiparisphuṭa bhrukuṭikē'pi vaktrē kṛtēkṛpākapaṭakēsarin danujaḍimbhadattastanāsarōjasadṛśā dṛśā vyativiṣajya vyajyatē7
    meaning

    Even as his face was fearsome with a terrifying mane, resounding with a ferocious roar, with quivering eyebrows in fury — yet the goddess who nursed the demon child cast lotus-like glances on you, O lion of mercy, revealing your compassion.

    त्वयि रक्षति रक्षकैः किमन्यै--स्त्वयि चारक्षति रक्षकैः किमन्यैःइति निश्चितधीः श्रयामि नित्यंनृहरे वेगवतीतटाश्रयं त्वाम्8

    tvayi rakṣati rakṣakaiḥ kimanyai--stvayi chārakṣati rakṣakaiḥ kimanyaiḥiti niśchitadhīḥ śrayāmi nityaṃnṛharē vēgavatītaṭāśrayaṃ tvām8
    meaning

    When you protect me, what need have I of other protectors? When you do not protect me, what can other protectors do? With this firm conviction, I always take refuge in you — Narasimha, who dwells on the banks of the Vegavati.

    इत्थं स्तुतः सकृदिहाष्टभिरेष पद्यैःश्रीवेङ्कटेशरचितैस्त्रिदशेन्द्रवन्द्यःदुर्दान्तघोरदुरितद्विरदेन्द्रभेदीकामासिकानरहरिर्वितनोतु कामान्9

    Phala-shruti: Thus praised once by these eight verses composed by Sri Venkatesha, worshipped by the king of gods — may the Narasimha of Kamasika, destroyer of the fierce elephant-like sins, fulfill all desires.
