• verse 1

  वीताखिलविषयेच्छं जातानन्दाश्रुपुलकमत्यच्छम्सीतापति दूताद्यं वातात्मजमद्य भावये हृद्यम् ॥ 1 ॥

  meaning

  Having renounced all desires, with tears and horripilation of pure joy arising — I contemplate today in my heart the dear one, the foremost among messengers of Sītā's lord, the son of the wind.

• verse 2

  तरुणारुणमुखकमलं करुणारसपूरपूरितापाङ्गम्सञ्जीवनमाशासे मञ्जुलमहिमानमञ्जनाभाग्यम् ॥ 2 ॥

  taruṇāruṇamukhakamalaṃ karuṇārasapūrapūritāpāṅgamsañjīvanamāśāsē mañjulamahimānamañjanābhāgyam ॥ 2 ॥

  meaning

  With a lotus face of fresh crimson, eyes brimming with the nectar of compassion at their corners — I hope for the reviving one of incomparably beautiful glory, the fortune of Añjanā.

  शम्बरवैरिशरातिगमम्बुजदल विपुललोचनोदारम्कम्बुगलमनिलदिष्टं बिम्बज्वलितोष्ठमेकमवलम्बे ॥ 3 ॥

  meaning

  With an eye as wide as a lotus petal, broad-visioned and noble — with a conch-like neck by the wind ordained, with lips that glow like the bimba fruit, the one refuge.

  दूरीकृतसीतार्तिः प्रकटीकृतरामवैभवस्फूर्तिःदारितदशमुखकीर्तिः पुरतो मम भातु हनुमतो मूर्तिः ॥ 4 ॥

  dūrīkṛtasītārtiḥ prakaṭīkṛtarāmavaibhavasphūrtiḥdāritadaśamukhakīrtiḥ puratō mama bhātu hanumatō mūrtiḥ ॥ 4 ॥

  meaning

  Who removed Sītā's sorrow, who made manifest the splendour of Rāma's glory, who split open the fame of the ten-faced one — may that Hanumān shine before me.

  वानरनिकराध्यक्षं दानवकुलकुमुदरविकरसदृशम्दीनजनावनदीक्षं पवनतपः पाकपुञ्जमद्राक्षम् ॥ 5 ॥

  vānaranikarādhyakṣaṃ dānavakulakumudaravikarasadṛśamdīnajanāvanadīkṣaṃ pavanatapaḥ pākapuñjamadrākṣam ॥ 5 ॥

  meaning

  Leader of the monkey host, sun to the night-lotus clan of demons, consecrated to protecting the afflicted — that mass of the ripened austerities of Pavana I beheld.

  एतत्पवनसुतस्य स्तोत्रं यः पठति पञ्चरत्नाख्यम्चिरमिह निखिलान्भोगान्भुङ्क्त्वा श्रीरामभक्तिभाग्भवति ॥ 6 ॥

  ētatpavanasutasya stōtraṃ yaḥ paṭhati pañcharatnākhyamchiramiha nikhilānbhōgānbhuṅktvā śrīrāmabhaktibhāgbhavati ॥ 6 ॥

  [Phalashruti] Whoever recites this stotra of the son of the wind named 'five gems' — he will, having long enjoyed all pleasures here, become a devotee of Śrī Rāma.
