- verse 1श्रीरघुराजपदाब्जनिकेतन पङ्कजलोचन मङ्गलराशेचण्डमहाभुजदण्ड सुरारिविखण्डनपण्डित पाहि दयालो ।पातकिनं च समुद्धर मां महतां हि सतामपि मानमुदारंत्वां भजतो मम देहि दयाघन हे हनुमन् स्वपदाम्बुजदास्यम् ॥ 1 ॥śrīraghurājapadābjanikētana paṅkajalōchana maṅgaḻarāśēchaṇḍamahābhujadaṇḍa surārivikhaṇḍanapaṇḍita pāhi dayāḻō ।pātakinaṃ cha samuddhara māṃ mahatāṃ hi satāmapi mānamudāraṃtvāṃ bhajatō mama dēhi dayāghana hē hanuman svapadāmbujadāsyam ॥ 1 ॥meaning
Verse 1: O Hanuman — abode of Sri Rama's lotus feet, lotus-eyed, treasury of auspiciousness, expert in destroying enemies with your mighty arms, compassionate protector — lift me, a sinner, up! Great and virtuous souls hold their honour dear. O cloud of compassion, grant me service at your own lotus feet as I worship you.

Verse 2: O all-pervading Hanuman, O cloud of compassion — grant me service at your feet: for one whose limbs and heart are deeply scorched by the great fire of samsara's sorrows, who is excessively attached to children, wealth, relatives, self, home, and the like, and who is a mass of great sin — even if some tiny fragment of merit done in a former life may exist — grant me your service.

Verse 3: O Hanuman, O cloud of compassion — grant me service at your feet: for one who has fallen into the deep well of samsara with its terrible and endless scorching, whose entire body is afflicted by the poison of thousands of serpents of great suffering, who has reached a state of terrible wretched danger, fallen into the ocean of worldly existence.

Verse 4: O Hanuman, O cloud of compassion — grant me service at your feet: I am tormented by the powerful shark of Time in the vast and terrifying ocean of samsara, my whole mind disturbed, wretched, with my life seized by the discus-wheel of the great crocodile of Kamadeva; tossed by the waves of mighty time — lift me, this helpless one with no other refuge.

Verse 5: O Hanuman, O cloud of compassion — grant me service at your feet: for one wandering in the terrible great forest of samsara, whose auspicious body has been decorated with gems of past merit but whose joints are torn by the most terrifying of beasts (the great tiger of lust), and whose outer mind is severely afflicted by the special torment of envy — somehow grant your measureless grace.
- verse 6संसृतिवृक्षमनेकशताघनिदानमनन्तविकर्मसुशाखंदुःखफलं करणादिपलाशमनङ्गसुपुष्पमचिन्त्यसुमूलम् ।तं ह्यधिरुह्य हरे पतितं शरणागतमेव विमोचय मूढंत्वां भजतो मम देहि दयाघन हे हनुमन् स्वपदाम्बुजदास्यम् ॥ 6 ॥saṃsṛtivṛkṣamanēkaśatāghanidānamanantavikarmasuśākhaṃduḥkhaphalaṃ karaṇādipalāśamanaṅgasupuṣpamachintyasumūlam ।taṃ hyadhiruhya harē patitaṃ śaraṇāgatamēva vimōchaya mūḍhaṃtvāṃ bhajatō mama dēhi dayāghana hē hanuman svapadāmbujadāsyam ॥ 6 ॥meaning
Verse 6: O Hanuman, O cloud of compassion — grant me service at your feet: I have climbed the tree of samsara, whose hundreds of branches are the causes of hundreds of sins, whose fruit is suffering, whose leaves are the organs of action, whose flowers are desire, and whose root is inconceivable; I have fallen from it — I, a fool seeking your refuge — please release me.

Verse 7: O Hanuman, O cloud of compassion — grant me service at your feet: my body is burnt by the terrible poisonous fangs of the snake of samsara, I am agitated with fear at the departure of the life-force, slow-witted, without a protector, deeply distressed; I have fallen in the great cave of delusion with uncontrolled senses and desires — lift me out with your compassion.

Verse 8: O king of monkeys, O compassionate one — grant me service at your feet: I am thrown into the net of samsara, my great wealth of discriminative knowledge of truth has been stolen by the band of thieves called the senses, my body torn apart by great forces; I who have taken refuge at your unsurpassed lotus feet — protect me swiftly.
- verse 9ब्रह्ममरुद्गणरुद्रमहेन्द्रकिरीटसुकोटिलसत्पदपीठंदाशरथिं जपति क्षितिमण्डल एष निधाय सदैव हृदब्जे ।तस्य हनूमत एव शिवङ्करमष्टकमेतदनिष्टहरं वैयः सततं हि पठेत्स नरो लभतेऽच्युतरामपदाब्जनिवासम् ॥ 9 ॥brahmamarudgaṇarudramahēndrakirīṭasukōṭilasatpadapīṭhaṃdāśarathiṃ japati kṣitimaṇḍala ēṣa nidhāya sadaiva hṛdabjē ।tasya hanūmata ēva śivaṅkaramaṣṭakamētadaniṣṭaharaṃ vaiyaḥ satataṃ hi paṭhētsa narō labhatē'chyutarāmapadābjanivāsam ॥ 9 ॥meaning
Phala-shruti: Whoever constantly reads this auspicious octad of Hanuman — who holds Rama in his heart, Rama whose feet are worshipped by the crowns of Brahma, Vayu, Rudra, Indra, and thousands of other celestials — that person attains the abode of Achyuta (Vishnu) and Rama's lotus feet.
