If you speak even a little, the moonlight of your teeth-radiance dispels deep darkness; let your face-moon please the chakora-bird of my eyes.

If truly you are angry at me, O lovely-toothed one—strike me with the sharp-nailed arrow, wind your arms in tight binding, bite with your teeth; let whatever brings joy come.

You are my ornament, you are my life, you are the jewel of the ocean of worldly existence—let your will dwell in me who am ever obstructed by love.

Though dark as a dark lotus, O slender one, your eye holds a red-lotus form—if you are going to colour Krishna with love's arrows, this is fitting.

Let the jewel garland sparkle on the pots of your breasts and adorn your heart region; let the girdle resound on your dense-hipped zone, declaring the abode of Kama.

Surpassing the land-lotus, enchanting my heart, born into love's sport—O sweet-voiced one, speak; I will colour the lotus feet with beautiful fresh lac-red.

The destroyer of Love's poison crowning my head, give this generous lotus foot; the terrible love-fire burns in me—let it carry away that generated agitation.

O you who are always seized by fear in a heart overwhelmed by dense-breasted, heavy-hipped beauty—another worthy person enters; that one is fortunate.

O innocent one, give me your hard-toothed biting, the tight vine-binding of arms, the squeezing of breasts—O fierce one, you yourself enjoy; do not let Love's fierce arrows dominate.
- verse 14व्यथयति वृथा मौनं तन्वि प्रपञ्चय पञ्चमं तरुणी मधुरालापैस्तापं विनोदय दृष्टिभिः ।सुमुखि विमुखीभावं तावद्विमुञ्च न मुञ्च मां स्वयमतिशयस्निग्धो मुग्धे प्रियिऽहमुपस्थितः ॥ 56 ॥vyathayati vṛthā maunaṃ tanvi prapañchaya pañchamaṃ taruṇī madhurālāpaistāpaṃ vinōdaya dṛṣṭibhiḥ ।sumukhi vimukhībhāvaṃ tāvadvimuñcha na muñcha māṃ svayamatiśayasnigdhō mugdhē priyi'hamupasthitaḥ ॥ 56 ॥meaning
O slender one, why this useless silence—elaborate the charming fifth melody; O young woman, soothe my anguish with sweet speech; soften your averted face, O fair one.
- verse 15बन्धूकद्युतिबान्धवोऽयमधरः स्निग्धो मधूकच्चवि-र्गण्डश्चण्डि चकास्ति नीलनलिनश्रीमोचनं लोचनम् ।नासाभ्येति तिलप्रसूनपदवीं कुन्दाभदान्ति प्रिये प्रायस्त्वन्मुखसेवया विजयते विश्वं स पुष्पायुधः ॥ 57 ॥bandhūkadyutibāndhavō'yamadharaḥ snigdhō madhūkachchavi-rgaṇḍaśchaṇḍi chakāsti nīlanalinaśrīmōchanaṃ lōchanam ।nāsābhyēti tilaprasūnapadavīṃ kundābhadānti priyē prāyastvanmukhasēvayā vijayatē viśvaṃ sa puṣpāyudhaḥ ॥ 57 ॥meaning
This lip is kin to the bandhooka's brilliance; the cheek is tender like the madhuka—your eye that removes the dark-lotus glory shines; your nose outshines the sesame flower.

Your intoxicated eyes, your moon-like illuminating face, your mind-enchanting gait, your thighs rivalling the upturned banana trunk—your accomplished love-arts, your beautiful face like a painting.
- verse 17॥ इति श्रीगीतगोविन्दे मानिनीवर्णने चतुरचतुर्भुजो नाम दशमः सर्गः ॥॥ iti śrīgītagōvindē māninīvarṇanē chaturachaturbhujō nāma daśamaḥ sargaḥ ॥meaning
