- verse 1एषोति चपलो दैत्यान् बाल्येपि नाशयत्यहो ।अग्रे किं कर्म कर्तेति न जाने मुनिसत्तम ॥ 1 ॥ēṣōti chapalō daityān bālyēpi nāśayatyahō ।agrē kiṃ karma kartēti na jānē munisattama ॥ 1 ॥meaning
A sage questions: 'This child even in infancy destroys demons — what will he do when grown? O best of munis, I do not know.'

'Demons of many kinds are wicked enemies of the virtuous and of the gods; therefore please bind some protection around his neck.'

'Meditate upon Vinayaka riding a lion in the first age with eight arms; in Treta on a peacock, six-armed; in Dvapara elephant-faced with reddened body; in the fourth age two-armed, white-bodied, ever granting all desires.'

One of purified intellect who writes this on a bhurja leaf and wears it at the throat shall have no fear from yakshas, rakshasas, and pishachas.

One who recites it three times a day becomes of adamantine body; one who recites it at the time of a journey obtains the fruit without obstacle.

- verse 22सप्तवारं जपेदेतद्दनानामेकविंशतिः ।तत्तत्फलमवाप्नोति साधको नात्र संशयः ॥ 22 ॥saptavāraṃ japēdētaddanānāmēkaviṃśatiḥ ।tattatphalamavāpnōti sādhakō nātra saṃśayaḥ ॥ 22 ॥meaning
One who recites it seven times for twenty-one days, a practitioner obtains each respective result without doubt.
- verse 23एकविंशतिवारं च पठेत्तावद्दिनानि यः ।कारागृहगतं सद्यो राज्ञावध्यं च मोचयोत् ॥ 23 ॥ēkaviṃśativāraṃ cha paṭhēttāvaddināni yaḥ ।kārāgṛhagataṃ sadyō rājñāvadhyaṃ cha mōchayōt ॥ 23 ॥meaning
One who recites it twenty-one times for twenty-one days would swiftly release even one imprisoned and condemned by a king.

One who recites this thrice at the time of a royal audience, having subdued the king and ministers, wins the assembly.

He taught me too this kavacham that grants all perfections with compassion; it should not be given to one without devotion, but should be bestowed on the faithful.
