Devi said: O Lord of lords, I have heard the kavachas of Shaiva, Ganapata, Shakta, Vaishnava, Saura and other traditions coming from your mouth; is there yet another kavacham of the gods?

Ishvara said: Listen, O Devi, I shall declare attentively — the holy Hanuman Kavacham, destroyer of great sins.

This is the most secret in all the world; it quickly grants the highest perfection; one who recites it becomes the conqueror of all three worlds.

Let Kashyapa protect my forehead; let Mahodara protect the two brows; let Balacandra protect the eyes; let Gajasya protect the two lips.

Let Gajakridas protect the tongue; let Girijasuta protect the chin; let Vinayaka protect speech; let Durmukha protect the teeth.

One who recites it three times a day becomes of adamantine body; one who recites it at the time of a journey obtains fruit without obstacle.

One who recites it seven times for twenty-one days, a practitioner obtains each respective result without doubt.
