- verse 1जगत्प्रतिष्ठाहेतुर्यः धर्मः श्रुत्यन्तकीर्तितः ।तस्यापि शास्ता यो देवस्तं सदा समुपाश्रये ॥ 1 ॥jagatpratiṣṭhāhēturyaḥ dharmaḥ śrutyantakīrtitaḥ ।tasyāpi śāstā yō dēvastaṃ sadā samupāśrayē ॥ 1 ॥meaning
I ever take refuge in that god who is the Ruler (Shasta) of even Dharma — the dharma celebrated in the Upanishads as the foundation of the world.
