Nyasa and Viniyoga: Of this Sri Chandi Kavacham — the sage is Brahma; the meter is Anushtup; the deity is Chamunda; the seed is the Mothers named in the nyasa; the power is the nine enclosures (navavaranas); the essence is the deities of the directions (digbandha). The recitation is dedicated for the pleasure of Sri Jagadamba, as part of the Saptashati text.

- verse 48त्रैलोक्ये तु भवेत्पूज्यः कवचेनावृतः पुमान् ।इदं तु देव्याः कवचं देवानामपि दुर्लभम् ॥ 46 ॥trailōkyē tu bhavētpūjyaḥ kavachēnāvṛtaḥ pumān ।idaṃ tu dēvyāḥ kavachaṃ dēvānāmapi durlabham ॥ 46 ॥meaning
O great Goddess, be with me always, O ocean of compassion; let me have the shelter of your lotus feet that destroy all distress.

This armor which grants all prosperity was spoken by the foremost of those who know the Vedas; knowing this armor one should never be afflicted—
- verse 50जीवेद्वर्षशतं साग्रमपमृत्युविवर्जितः ।नश्यन्ति व्याधयः सर्वे लूताविस्फोटकादयः ॥ 48 ॥jīvēdvarṣaśataṃ sāgramapamṛtyuvivarjitaḥ ।naśyanti vyādhayaḥ sarvē lūtāvisphōṭakādayaḥ ॥ 48 ॥meaning
the gods having recited it previously conquered the Asuras in battle, and knowing it Indra obtained the sovereignty of the three worlds.
- verse 51स्थावरं जङ्गमं चैव कृत्रिमं चैव यद्विषम् ।अभिचाराणि सर्वाणि मन्त्रयन्त्राणि भूतले ॥ 49 ॥sthāvaraṃ jaṅgamaṃ chaiva kṛtrimaṃ chaiva yadviṣam ।abhichārāṇi sarvāṇi mantrayantrāṇi bhūtalē ॥ 49 ॥meaning
The great power (Aparajita) is ever on the side of kings who recite this, just as the Devi always protects those devoted to her.
- verse 52भूचराः खेचराश्चैव जुलजाश्चोपदेशिकाः ।सहजा कुलजा माला डाकिनी शाकिनी तथा ॥ 50 ॥bhūcharāḥ khēcharāśchaiva julajāśchōpadēśikāḥ ।sahajā kulajā mālā ḍākinī śākinī tathā ॥ 50 ॥meaning
(Phalashruti) One who recites this daily attains health, beauty, prosperity, glory, enemies are destroyed and merit increases.
- verse 53अन्तरिक्षचरा घोरा डाकिन्यश्च महाबलाः ।ग्रहभूतपिशाचाश्च यक्षगन्धर्वराक्षसाः ॥ 51 ॥antarikṣacharā ghōrā ḍākinyaścha mahābalāḥ ।grahabhūtapiśāchāścha yakṣagandharvarākṣasāḥ ॥ 51 ॥meaning
By reciting this at the three junctions—morning, noon and evening—all sufferings are destroyed; demons, goblins and spirits are dispelled.

Protecting all, endowing all boons, all inauspiciousness is destroyed by reciting this peerless armor.
- verse 55मानोन्नतिर्भवेद्राज्ञस्तेजोवृद्धिकरं परम् ।यशसा वर्धते सोऽपि कीर्तिमण्डितभूतले ॥ 53 ॥mānōnnatirbhavēdrājñastējōvṛddhikaraṃ param ।yaśasā vardhatē sō'pi kīrtimaṇḍitabhūtalē ॥ 53 ॥meaning
Thus is the armor of Devi recited by those free of disease, prosperous, and victorious over enemies; this is the blessed Devi-kavaca.
- verse 56जपेत्सप्तशतीं चण्डीं कृत्वा तु कवचं पुरा ।यावद्भूमण्डलं धत्ते सशैलवनकाननम् ॥ 54 ॥japētsaptaśatīṃ chaṇḍīṃ kṛtvā tu kavachaṃ purā ।yāvadbhūmaṇḍalaṃ dhattē saśailavanakānanam ॥ 54 ॥meaning
One who recites this every day obtains all he desires from the Goddess—this is the conclusion of the armor of Chandika.
- verse 57तावत्तिष्ठति मेदिन्यां सन्ततिः पुत्रपौत्रिकी ।देहान्ते परमं स्थानं यत्सुरैरपि दुर्लभम् ॥ 55 ॥tāvattiṣṭhati mēdinyāṃ santatiḥ putrapautrikī ।dēhāntē paramaṃ sthānaṃ yatsurairapi durlabham ॥ 55 ॥meaning

- verse 58प्राप्नोति पुरुषो नित्यं महामायाप्रसादतः ।लभते परमं रूपं शिवेन सह मोदते ॥ 56 ॥prāpnōti puruṣō nityaṃ mahāmāyāprasādataḥ ।labhatē paramaṃ rūpaṃ śivēna saha mōdatē ॥ 56 ॥meaning
By the grace of Mahamaya, a person constantly attains the supreme form (of liberation) and rejoices together with Shiva.
