- verse 1देववाणीं वेदवाणीं मातरं वन्दामहे ।चिरनवीना चिरपुराणीं सादरं वन्दामहे ॥ ध्रु॥dēvavāṇīṃ vēdavāṇīṃ mātaraṃ vandāmahē ।chiranavīnā chirapurāṇīṃ sādaraṃ vandāmahē ॥ dhru॥meaning
We reverently salute the language of the gods, the speech of the Vedas, our Mother — ever-fresh and ever-ancient, we salute her with devotion. [Dhruva / refrain]

Wandering through the world devoted to protecting divine culture, ready for the awakening of all people, chanting the mantra of organisation — engaged in action, singularly focused on the goal, we serve Bharata. [v.1]

For the removal of the spirit of division, let us experience brotherhood; by deed, mind, and speech let us practise the salutation to the Mother; free from desire for fame, wealth, and position, let us rejoice. [v.2]

Let us teach society turned away from culture through our own lives; maintaining and demonstrating the noble ideal, let us show the way; we consider our lives dedicated for the benefit of culture. [v.3]
- verse 5वयमसाध्यं लक्ष्यमेतत् संस्कृतेन साधयन्तः ।त्यागधैर्यसमर्पणेन नवलमितिहासं लिखन्तः ।जन्मभूमिसमर्चनेन सर्वतः स्पन्दामहे ॥ 4॥vayamasādhyaṃ lakṣyamētat saṃskṛtēna sādhayantaḥ ।tyāgadhairyasamarpaṇēna navalamitihāsaṃ likhantaḥ ।janmabhūmisamarchanēna sarvataḥ spandāmahē ॥ 4॥meaning
We who are accomplishing this seemingly impossible goal through Sanskrit, writing a new chapter of history with sacrifice, courage, and dedication — in the adoration of our birthplace we vibrate on all sides. [v.4]
- verse 6भारताः सोदराः स्मो भावनेयं हृदि निधाय ।वयं संस्कृतसैनिकाः सज्जीता नैजं विहाय ।परमवैभवसाधनाया वरमहो याचामहे ॥ 5॥bhāratāḥ sōdarāḥ smō bhāvanēyaṃ hṛdi nidhāya ।vayaṃ saṃskṛtasainikāḥ sajjītā naijaṃ vihāya ।paramavaibhavasādhanāyā varamahō yāchāmahē ॥ 5॥meaning
We Indians are brothers — holding this sentiment in our hearts, we Sanskrit-soldiers are ready, laying aside self; for the attainment of supreme splendour, we seek the highest boon. [v.5]
