- verse 1व्रजे प्रसिद्धं नवनीतचौरंगोपाङ्गनानां च दुकूलचौरम् ।अनेकजन्मार्जितपापचौरंचौराग्रगण्यं पुरुषं नमामि ॥ 1॥vrajē prasiddhaṃ navanītachauraṃgōpāṅganānāṃ cha dukūlachauram ।anēkajanmārjitapāpachauraṃchaurāgragaṇyaṃ puruṣaṃ namāmi ॥ 1॥meaning
Verse 1: I bow to that Supreme Person, the foremost of thieves (Chauragraganya) — famous in Vraja as the thief of butter, the stealer of the Gopi women's garments, and the thief of the sins accumulated over many lifetimes.
