This one who shines as the ocean's jewel—the moon—this ancient person, teacher of gods and demons—that left half belonging to Andhaka's slayer, O Goddess.

When you draw and bear one according to will in excellence of appropriate qualities, O Sankharshini—then that one becomes the sole teacher of the three worlds.

Those who contemplate your form in the middle of the red circle, tawny as fresh lac—in their hearts the love-god's arrow always pierces, never leaving.

Let the eyes be absorbed in contemplating your form alone; let the ears be filled with yearning for your qualities; let the mind always remember you.
